Cohort is students only. Verify your school email to join, tell us where you're interning, and match with people in your city for the summer.
A .edu address is the only way in — Cohort is students only. Your 6-digit code can land in spam, so check there.
This is an early beta. Things may change or break, and data may be reset. Cohort makes introductions only — never send money or deposits to anyone you meet here, and see any place in person first.
Contact info stays hidden until you both match.
Staying safe
This is an early beta
Cohort is a work in progress, provided free and “as is” for testing. Features may change or break, and data may be reset. By using it you accept that it’s unfinished and that you use it at your own risk.
The important parts
Who Cohort is for
The basics
Cohort connects students and interns to meet people and find housing for a season. We're an introduction service only — we are not a party to any housing arrangement, lease, or sublet, and we don't handle payments or deposits. You're responsible for your own agreements and for meeting people safely.
We store the info you provide (email, profile, photo, messages) to run the service. Contact details are shared with someone only after you both match. You can request deletion of your account anytime.
This is a starter summary, not full legal terms — full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy will be linked here before public launch.
Enter the 6-digit code we just sent.
So matches know who they'd be living with.

Where you live
Students heading to this city can find you if you turn on mentoring below.
Mentoring · optional
Students heading to your city often have nobody to ask about neighbourhoods, commutes or what the summer is actually like. You can answer questions — they always message first, and your contact info is never shared.

Your plans
Where are you headed, and for which term? Add a city even if you don't have an offer or your dates yet — you can fill those in later. Internships, co-ops, research terms all work.
Summer internship, or a fall/spring co-op — pick whichever you're doing.
No offer yet — you can still meet people heading here.
Start and end of your term. This is what unlocks housing.

A little about you
A few short lines work best — what you're up to, what you're like to live with, what you're after.

IT'S A MATCH
Contact info is now unlocked for you both.
Alumni from any school who live in your city and offered to answer questions. They can’t message you — you always reach out first.
Every listing is posted by someone with a verified school email. Tags show their school — and whether they’ve already graduated.
Never accept deposits or payment through Cohort, and warn others not to send money before seeing a place in person.
